Ten rescued off Abersoch coast after getting caught in riptide

Ten people had to be rescued from the sea off Abersoch after they got caught in a riptide yesterday afternoon.


Some of those plucked to safety had gone to the aid of others caught in the sea drag, but got into trouble themselves.  News section

A mark of quality for Airport parking

Less than a year after its car parking operation was brought in-house, Cardiff Airport has achieved the prestigious Park Mark® standard.


This demonstrates to our customer base that all of Cardiff Airport’s on-site parking facilities have achieved the ‘Safer Parking’ status - a national standard for UK car parks that have low crime and measures in place to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.  News section

South Wales Evening Post backs appeal to raise £0.5m for Wales Air Ambulance

An appeal to raise £500,000 to build a new air ambulance base has won the backing of a regional daily.


The South Wales Evening Post has joined forces with Wales Air Ambulance, which is hoping to build a new headquarters to enable it to base all of its aircraft on the same site.  News section

Intra Wales Air Service growth over 40% in 2015 with Linksair

UK regional airline, Linksair, who commenced the operation and ticket sales for the Intra-Wales Cardiff - Anglesey Air Service in December 2014, report a significant and above expectation growth in passenger numbers of over 40% in the first half of 2015.  News section

UK Government are considering making land available at MoD St Athan in order to persuade Aston Martin to commence manufacturing there.

 

The prime minister revealed his government was keen for Aston Martin to make a home for itself in the Vale of Glamorgan, by the MoD vacating land at St Athan.  News section
