Cardiff Aviation signs deal with Air Djibouti to create national carrier

Cardiff Aviation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Air Djibouti to create and implement a national carrier for the East African nation of Djibouti.

Under the terms of the MoU, Cardiff Aviation will implement and manage a European-level AOC for Air Djibouti, source aircraft, and provide world-class operational management for the new African national carrier. News Section

CityJet to withdraw from Cardiff Airport in June

CityJet is to end its services from Cardiff Airport to Edinburgh and Paris (Orly) blaming the Welsh Government-owned airport's decision to support Flybe to set up competitor routes to the two European capitals for the move.  News section

Thomas Cook Airlines adds Cancun flight to Cardiff programme in 2016

Thomas Cook Airlines has today announced that it will operate a one-off flight to Cancun on its long haul Airbus A330 fleet next summer, on Tuesday 24th May 2016.

Offering holidays for 14 nights, the flight returns from Cancun on 7th June and adds another long haul destination from the airline to its Cardiff service next year.  News section

Both ex Air India Airbus A330’s depart St Athan

The two ex Air India A330’s have departed St Athan today for Lisbon 30 minutes apart.

 

Both aircraft have been clearly visible on the airfield since they arrived in November 2014 after their lease agreement with Air India had expired.
