RAF Valley runway re-surfacing causes schedule change for Cardiff to Anglesey flights

During the month of August RAF Valley airfield is closed for runway re-surfacing. During this month all operations are planned to operate to RAF Mona, which is about 15 minutes drive away from RAF Valley. A coach will be provided for transport to and from the Anglesey terminal. For passengers departing from Anglesey, can you please check in 45 minutes before departure as the plan is to leave the terminal 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure an on time schedule. The flight from Cardiff will leave on time but please allow time for the transfer from RAF Mona to the Anglesey terminal.  Read more

Air ambulance charity moves South Wales helicopter to new purpose-built base

First Sukhoi Superjet visits Cardiff Airport

Saturday 11th June 2016 marks the first visit of a Sukhoi Superjet to Cardiff Airport.


The regional jet operated by CityJet registered EI-FWA arrived from Dublin at 09:25 in order to collect Wales football fans and take them to Bordeaux for Wales Euro 2016 clash against Slovakia.  Read more

Cardiff Airport announces 12 months of passenger growth

Another successful month has been recorded at Cardiff Airport, with passenger numbers increasing by 27% versus the same month last year. This increase represents twelve consecutive months of growth, bringing the rolling twelve month total of passengers flying from Cardiff to just over 1.279 million.  Read more

Flybe announces daily flights to London City

Flybe to provide city to city 'rescue' air link from Cardiff 

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has stepped in quickly with the news today (23rd March 2016) that it will operate up to four ‘rescue flights’ on weekdays, and two a day on weekends between Cardiff and London City Airports. These will provide fast, convenient and affordable transport options for those travelling between South Wales and SW/SE England, being severely inconvenienced by the six week closure of the Severn Tunnel scheduled for 12th September - 21st October 2016.  Read more
